Appleseeds offers Before and After School care for children from the Exeter Main Street and Lincoln Street schools. Appleseeds is a stop on the public school bus route. In the morning children come in and relax with friends by playing games or reading. The bus arrives at 7:45 am to begin the school day. The bus returns at 3:15 where we begin our schedule which is as follows
3:15-3:45 - Let loose
(outside weather permitting)3:45-4:00 - Snack
4:00-4:30 - Homework Club
4:30-5:30 - Free play
The after school program is loosely structured given that the children have been hard at work all day. We have many board games, tons of books, blocks, painting, clay, knitting, sewing and all kinds of arts and crafts.
Our program is small just one room with six children. This small number allows for a more intimate setting where no one is lost in the crowd.
On early release days, vacation and snow days the after school programs expands to a full day program where we plan more enrichment activities. These longer days are included in the weekly tuition so it remains the same for the entire school year.
