Summer Camp

Summer is a time for outside fun! Appleseeds is located on a 2 acre piece of property with a large field for baseball, kickball, tag and all kinds of fun games. Water play either with a sprinkler or a slip 'n slide is done as many days a week as the weather permits.

Children can't be all out at high energy all day so we include a down time with journaling, reading or listening to books on tape/CD.

Inside our school is beautifully air conditioned. We all really appreciate that on those 100 degree days! While inside we have many enrichment activities the children participate in. Most summers we have at least two performances for the entire school either as a play or a talent show. In the past we have traveled in a time machine and researched decades past whether it be the early 19th century or the 1980's. The themes change weekly and are based on the interests of the children enrolled.

Field trips are planned occasionally and will be posted prior to sign up for the summer.

Our camp counselors are typically teachers on summer vacation or teachers in training home from college on break. Appleseeds has been blessed with summer camp leaders that truly love children and fun! We also have a program where anyone entering third grade or above is designated a counselor in training and has more responsibility than a typical camper. The older children LOVE this recognition of their maturity.

Our spaces for summer camp are limited to 20 children. Children who are currently enrolled and siblings of children currently enrolled have priority. Families are welcome to sign up for the days and or weeks that they wish if they do so prior to May 1st. Due to last minute changes in enrollment in the prior years we will be requiring a 4 week tuition payment by April 1st, another 4 weeks on May 1st and the remainder on June 1st, therefore all tuition will be paid prior to camp beginning.
